課程的教學目的與任務

《英語(二外)3》的教學目的是培養學生在掌握第一外語前提下具備綜合應用英語的能力,培養學生具有較強的閱讀能力和一定的聽、說、寫、譯能力,使他們能用英語交流信息。大學英語二外教學應幫助學生打下扎實的語言基礎,掌握良好的語言學習方法,提高文化素養,以適應社會發展和經濟建設的需要。

課程的基本要求

根據因材施教、突出個性發展的教學規律,并參照教育部委托大學英語研究會與課程指導委員會制定的《大學英語課程教學要求》(以下簡稱《課程要求》),我校大學英語二外課程實行英語教學,使大多數學生能夠達到基本要求,并使一部分學生能夠達到較高要求和更高要求。據此,《英語(二外)3》課程的基本要求為:

(1)聽力理解能力:能夠基本聽懂來自英語國家人士的談話和講座,能聽懂題材熟悉、篇幅較長的國內英語廣播。能基本聽懂外國專家用英語講授的課程,掌握其中心大意,抓住要點。

(2)口語表達能力:能夠和來自英語國家人士進行比較流利的會話,能基本表達個人意見、情感、觀點等,能基本陳述事實、事件、理由,表達思想清楚。

(3)閱讀理解能力:能基本閱讀英語國家報刊雜志的大眾性、一般性題材的文章,理解其主要意義。能略讀新聞、人物、事件等報道的主要內容,抓住其要點,能跳讀有關材料,快速查找所需信息。能借助詞典讀懂與專業相關的技術性論文,從中查找所需信息。

(4)書面表達能力:能就所讀一般主題的文章寫出其摘要或大綱,能闡述自己對某一焦點問題的觀點,并能基本陳述贊成或反對的理由。能寫出日常的應用文章,結構與表達符合應用文體規范。

(5)翻譯能力:能借助詞典翻譯一般英美報刊上題材熟悉的文章,作到基本準確地傳達原文的意思。能將與專業相關的英語資料摘譯為中文,譯文符合中文表達習慣。能將與專業相關的中文報告、論文等譯為英文,譯文基本符合英文表達習慣。

(6)詞匯量要求:學生掌握的總詞匯量應達到4500個單詞和700個詞組,其中2000個單詞為積極詞匯,達到能確切運用。
