課程的教學目的與任務
《英語(二外)1》的教學目的是培養學生在掌握第一外語前提下具有較強的閱讀能力和一定的聽、說、寫、譯能力,使他們能用英語交流信息。大學英語二外教學應幫助學生打下扎實的語言基礎,掌握良好的語言學習方法,提高文化素養,以適應社會發展和經濟建設的需要。
課程的基本要求
根據因材施教、突出個性發展的教學規律,并參照教育部委托大學英語研究會與課程指導委員會制定的《大學英語課程教學要求》,我校大學英語二外課程實行英語教學,使大多數學生能夠達到基本要求,并一部分學生能夠達到較高要求和更高要求。據此,《英語(二外)1》課程的基本要求為:
1.聽力理解能力:語速為每分鐘120詞的聽力材料,聽兩遍即能正確理解中心大意,抓住要點和有關細節,了解說話者的觀點和態度。能聽懂日常英語談話和一般性題材講座,能基本聽懂英語節目。
2.口語表達能力:能在學習過程中用英語交流,能就所熟悉的話題經準備后作簡短發言,語音、語調基本正確,并能就日常話題和英語國家人士進行交談。
3.閱讀理解能力:能基本讀懂一般性題材的英文文章,閱讀速度達到每分鐘65詞。在快速閱讀篇幅較長、難度略低的材料時,閱讀速度達到每分鐘100詞。能讀懂工作、生活中常見的應用文體的材料。能在閱讀中使用有效的閱讀方法
4.書面表達能力:能運用學到的詞匯和語法結構連句成段。能就一般性話題或提綱寫出一段帶有中心句的文字,內容基本完整,用詞恰當,語意連貫。能掌握基本的寫作技能。
5.翻譯能力:能翻譯難度與課文相仿的英語文章,譯速每小時250詞,能將內容熟悉的漢語譯成英語,譯速每小時150字。
6.詞匯量要求:注意區分認知型詞匯、活用型詞匯、核心詞匯。掌握的詞匯量應達到2,500個單詞,300個詞組,其中1,600個單詞為積極詞匯,即要求學生能夠在認知的基礎上學會熟練運用,包括口頭和書面表達兩個方面。
