課程的教學(xué)目的與任務(wù)
跨文化交際能力包括語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用能力、相關(guān)國(guó)家文化知識(shí)以及相關(guān)專(zhuān)業(yè)的能力和交流能力。通常認(rèn)為語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用能力特指外語(yǔ)知識(shí)和外語(yǔ)技能,忽視了學(xué)習(xí)者對(duì)目的語(yǔ)國(guó)家的文化知識(shí)的要求,特別是靈活運(yùn)用已有的本國(guó)和目的國(guó)的相同之處,相似之處和差異進(jìn)行跨文化交流的能力。該課程旨在擴(kuò)大學(xué)生的知識(shí)面,對(duì)西方文化的不同層面有所了解,以提高學(xué)生的交際能力。在傳統(tǒng)的外語(yǔ)教學(xué)中,人們往往忽視文化的重要作用,只注重語(yǔ)言能力的培養(yǎng)而未能顧及交際能力的提高。近年來(lái)國(guó)內(nèi)學(xué)者認(rèn)識(shí)到外語(yǔ)教學(xué)必須引進(jìn)文化知識(shí)的對(duì)比,訓(xùn)練學(xué)生靈活運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言知識(shí),更好地與外國(guó)人溝通,減少和避免誤解。該課程教學(xué)要求學(xué)生提高對(duì)文化差異的敏感性,更有效地與外國(guó)人進(jìn)行交際,為英語(yǔ)翻譯專(zhuān)業(yè)課程的學(xué)習(xí)和翻譯實(shí)踐能力的提高奠定基礎(chǔ)。
課程就中國(guó)文化和西方文化進(jìn)行介紹并作對(duì)比研究,授課內(nèi)容主要涉及語(yǔ)言、文化和跨文化交際的話題。該課程有助于增強(qiáng)文化差異的敏感性,增強(qiáng)跨文化交際意識(shí),有助于英語(yǔ)翻譯專(zhuān)業(yè)課程的學(xué)習(xí)和翻譯實(shí)踐能力的提高。
課程的基本要求
本課程要求學(xué)生在語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)的過(guò)程中提高利用外語(yǔ)進(jìn)行跨文化交際的能力,通過(guò)學(xué)生對(duì)交際與語(yǔ)言、語(yǔ)言與文化、文化與價(jià)值觀的學(xué)習(xí)和討論,提高跨文化交際意識(shí);通過(guò)學(xué)生對(duì)文化現(xiàn)象的思考和討論,反思語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)過(guò)程,增加對(duì)文化差異的敏感性;通過(guò)學(xué)生案例討論分析等形式的課堂活動(dòng),提高學(xué)生的跨文化交際意識(shí)和能力,達(dá)到有效交流的目的。
該課程教學(xué)重點(diǎn)在于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生對(duì)英語(yǔ)國(guó)家文化的了解及跨文化交際意識(shí),提高駕馭英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言的能力,從而使其能得體地運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言與操英語(yǔ)的外國(guó)人士進(jìn)行交流,幫助學(xué)生認(rèn)識(shí)中西文化的異同,分析文化差異的根源,幫助學(xué)生深化對(duì)西方文化的理解。課程主要通過(guò)對(duì)比中國(guó)和英語(yǔ)國(guó)家文化的方法,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生關(guān)注文化與語(yǔ)言的關(guān)系,提高文化意識(shí)和跨文化交際意識(shí),從而提高對(duì)語(yǔ)言差異的敏感性,提高培養(yǎng)跨文化交際能力。
