課程的教學目的與任務

本課程的教學目的在于使學生了解英語語音的基礎知識，掌握英語音素的發音方法、音位變體并能正確發音；了解英語的音節結構，掌握不同音素組合的發音；了解英音和美音的區別和發音特點；了解英語的音節結構、輕重音、節奏、語流音變和語調等基本知識；通過大量的練習，幫助學生最終達到能夠準確、清晰、流暢、熟練、自然地朗讀和說話，并能正確、得體地使用語調，通過正確的語音語調達到交際的目的。

課程的基本要求

教學：通過課堂教學，使學生了解英語語音基本知識，掌握英語音素的正確發音方法并能正確發音；能運用拼讀規則和音標準確、清晰、流暢、熟練、自然地進行朗讀；了解并掌握詞重音、句子重音、節奏、語流音變和語調等基本知識及朗讀技巧，達到語調比較自然，語流較為順暢，并能正確、得體地使用語調進行交際。

實踐：基礎階段的英語語音課不是有關語音學理論的課程，而是實踐性很強的一門課，側重語音訓練，重點是培養學生正確的英語發音習慣。因此，應有至少一半的時間用來進行發音訓練。
