課程的教學目的與任務

本課程是英語專業學生的一門專業基礎課。作為基礎階段的重要課程之一，本課程的主要目的是通過充分發揮學生的學習興趣、增強求知欲、拓展思維，對學生進行有計劃的、正規的、嚴格的、多種形式的聽力技能訓練，幫助學生逐步克服聽力障礙，使他們能逐漸掌握各種英語聽力技巧，聽懂不同體裁和題材的聽力材料，從而有計劃地逐步提高學生的聽力理解水平，培養學生實際應用語言的能力，并為學生升入高年級打好基礎。

課程的基本要求

1.通過在聽力理解方面多種形式的訓練，使學生能聽懂英語國家人士關于日常生活、社會生活的講演或交談和難度相當于TOFEL中MINI—TALKS等中等難度聽力材料，理解中心大意，抓住主要論點或情節，能據所聽材料進行推理和分析，領會作者的態度、情感和真實意圖，并用英語作簡要筆記。

2.聽懂VOA或BBC正常速度新聞廣播和文化節目的主要內容。

3.能大體辨別各種英語變體（如美國英語，英國英語，澳大利亞英語）。

4.能在15分鐘內聽寫根據已學知識編寫或選用的錄音材料（詞數為200個左右，念四遍，第一、四遍語速為每分鐘120個詞，第二、三遍根據意群停頓），錯誤率不超過10％。
